I take a step, and something quietly jingles beneath my feet. I look down and see that the path is strewn with tiny transparent beads. They roll around, and inside each one, a small spark of light flickers.
In an instant, the fog begins to part. Before me opens a perfectly flat circular clearing. In the center stands a massive stone. It glows with a soft white light, as if it is breathing. I approach it. Waves appear on the surface of the stone, like those on water.
I place my hand on the stone. It is warm. At that moment, the ground around me begins to rise, as if transforming into a gigantic dome. The forest disappears. I find myself in a vast sphere of light. Shadows move along the walls of this sphere. They resemble ancient animals, birds, and people, but all are made of light.
One silhouette separates from the wall and approaches me. It looks like a human figure, but without a face. Just a soft glow. The figure extends a small object to me. When I take it in my hand, the fog returns, but now it is golden.
I open my palm and see a tiny key. It is strange. It’s unclear what it fits. I lift my gaze, and a door appears before me. It stands in mid-air. No walls. Just a door.
I insert the key into the lock, turn it, and the door opens into a bright light.
I stepped through.
And immediately felt a gentle push in my chest, as if someone quietly said, "Correct."
