I stand in a quiet train station at night. The clocks on the walls move backward, and the air smells like cold metal and fresh ink. The platform is empty, yet I hear the faint sound of distant wheels rolling over tracks.
A train arrives without making a sound. Its windows glow with a soft emerald light. The doors open slowly, inviting me inside. When I step in, the carriage stretches much farther than it should, like a hallway that keeps unfolding. The seats are covered in dark velvet and small constellations shimmer on the ceiling.
As the train starts moving, the windows show landscapes that shift every few seconds. Forests, mountains, cities, oceans, all passing too quickly to fully grasp. Suddenly the train slows down and the lights dim. A gentle fog fills the carriage.
From the fog emerges a figure wearing an old-fashioned coat. I can’t see their face, only the reflection of the stars on their glasses. They hand me a tiny envelope sealed with a blue stamp. When I open it, I find a piece of paper with a single moving symbol glowing softly.
The symbol lifts off the page and floats above my palm. It expands into a small door made of light. Without hesitation I step through it and find myself on a hill overlooking a giant valley covered in golden grass. The wind moves through it like a slow wave.
A huge moon rises over the horizon, unusually close and bright. The grass around me begins to glow in response, forming patterns that spiral outward. The patterns slowly rearrange into a message I almost manage to read.
Right before the final shape forms, the world blurs and turns weightless. I wake up feeling like the dream almost revealed a secret but stopped at the last second.
